Binding Types

Saddle Stitching/Stitching - Folded sections are collated inside of each other

and wire/staples are pushed through the spine of the book and clinched to

seal.

Perfect Binding - Folded sections are collated on top of each other, the spine is

then roughened/milled, Hot Melt glue applied and the over drawn on, it’s then

clamped/nipped to produce the book.

Sections Sewn - Similar to perfect binding but the sections a sewn together and

the spine is not roughened/milled, this produces a stronger bind that can be

opened out more.

Wire O Binding - Pages are collate on top of each other, they are the punched

with a row of small square holes down the spine, metal wire is then inserted

and clamped shut, this can be used for books and calendars with the addition

of a hanger.

Spiral Binding - Similar to Wire O Binding but small circular holes and a plastic

coil is then inserted.
