PDF specification

As a general rule the print option in distiller is a good option for making pdf’s. They must be supplied with 3mm bleed on all edges and all images/colours must be cmyk, we can convert the colours within the pdf but it’s always better if they can be supplied correct.

We also need pages to be supplied as individual page view not as spreads, unless it’s a special folded section.

We do have our own distiller job options which we can email to you upon request.

If you are not sure about any settings when making pdf’s please call and we can help you out, this can help turn your job around quicker as it would mean we would not have to come back to you if something is wrong with the files.

PDF’s are great but we can only edit certain things, if it’s at all possible please supply the original files as well.
